Well, I made it the second night in the tent. It got down to only 6 degrees, but I stayed warm – all but the little bit of my face that was sticking out of the hole of my mummy-style sleeping bag! So that makes me very confident that I can at least sleep through some cold weather.
Getting out to hike and train has really become a challenge. This week is gun deer hunting season, so walking the roads or trails is something we’re going to stay away from for at least this week.
But... I have joined our family hunting crew again this year, so I’m getting out into the woods, stumbling through some really thick stuff, some really wet stuff, and some cold, snowy weather. So if anything, I’m getting some training in.
And mom is faithfully working on sponsors so I can hang out with the guys for this holiday week.
