This year we celebrated our family Christmas time a little different. We drove down to Florida and stayed in a condo for a week. It was wonderful. We hung out on the beach, window shopped all the little touristy gift shops, and searched for sea shells.
Mom and I even got in a long walk on the beach. It turned out to be 82 degrees -- a little too hot, but good practice! We probably ended up walking a total of only 10 miles that day, but it felt really good!
As my title states, “with the Christmas season behind us...“ we are getting back into the swing of things. And a long phone conversation with Marcia Powers (her and her husband, Ken are ADT thru-hikers -- 2005), my excitement for trip planning and prep have been rejuvenated.
We are still looking for major sponsors to work us toward our $1 million goal. We have a lot of letters out, so we sure hope to get some good responses.
