Dick B. gave us the little nickname "Dizzy Dames" after the story with the sewer cap and our admitting to missing turns a few times - due to talking, heated discussions, pretty houses, etc. We thought it fit pretty darn well!

We had to part ways with Debbie today, which was sad. Our time with her was short but SO fun! She is a great person. She is from Illinois, so she's a fellow Midwesterner - we'll have to hook up and hike sometime after we're both settled after our ADT treks. Good luck, Debbie! :)

Short and sweet today - we hiked hard on pretty flat trails, some hilly, and the scenery pretty. We were out of the mountains again, but we got to see them off in the distance. We also got to see the storms build again, but this time all we got was rain before Dick picked us up. We didn't miss the lightning!

The day ended when Dick pulled into a really good Italian restaurant, where he treated us to a very tasty dinner! Mmmm! That camp meal tomorrow is gonna taste so bland! We've once again been thoroughly spoiled. Dick is an awesome trail angel and so much more! Mayor of Green Mountain Falls, Colorado coordinator and VP of PR for the ADTS. He's silly, too, so mom and I had fun getting into giggling fits with him around! We're going to miss him - tomorrow we are saying farewell.

We had two injuries today. I know you're all cringing at the thought of us being injured... I pinched my little finger in a water spigot today, and there's a little purple spot under my nail - and that thing hurts! Mom's got a rugburn on her elbow - I know! How the heck... Carpeted trails!? Since when? Well, actually, she mis-stepped with an armload of laundry and slid down Dick's stairs tonight really quite gracefully. After finding out she didn't break anything, we laughed so hard we had to sit. So hopefully we'll be able to hike through the injuries tomorrow. :)

Good to hear from you, what a treat and a great break from work. I am excited about your "fun" day planned for tomorrow with the "girls" shopping - although shopping for mountain hiking equiptment would not be my dream shopping trip - but each their own and you certainly deserve it. The bonus of a nice hotel room at the end of the day - what a great "vacation" they only thing missing would be someone (other than each other) to cuddle up to. have fun - enjoy your day. With you in spirit.

You two should get back on the trail. It seems it is much safer there for you. You are still making great time. Enjoy the event today and you surprise guests. Keep putting one foot in front of the other.
