Oh, what a day! We got up very early and headed to the KUSA 9 News here in Denver for our first ever live interview! It was a really cool experience. Adam and dad came along and sat in the back of the room to watch. We got to watch the anchors do their live newscast with the big, remote-controlled cameras, teleprompters, and big lit studio. In between when there was a commercial break or the weatherman was on, we got to see the anchors stretch, chit-chat... it was cool. Then Shawn came over, and the cameraman and control lady quickly robotically rolled the camera over by us and put us on. I actually got so nervous that I lost my wording a bit, but recovered okay. We were told by the anchor that we seemed very relaxed - maybe I should get into acting! Then after it was over, mom was in some sort of shock - she was just staring - to the point where the anchor asked if she was okay! She laughed and said, "Yeah, I'm okay!" It was just a neat, new experience.

(Here's the story!)

Then a driver picked us up and brought us to the mall where we met Becki and her husband, Bob. Mom and I had so much fun cruising around looking for any replacement stuff we needed. We got new sleeping pads that are lighter weight. See, we're STILL trying to lighten our loads. Yeesh! We had such a blast. We also got some things like a waterproof map-holder, Camelbaks for when we have vehicle support, smaller pants, a few camp meals, and some other misc. items. And after shopping we ate dinner near the mall.

Now, after we've all had a long nap, it's off to the Cheesecake Factory along the 16th street mall for dinner. I know all of our readers are feeling really sorry for us at this point! We are truly roughing it! :) Monday we'll be back on the trail will fresh feet. Yay!
