Today was easy. Adam and I slept in as late as we could, got up and ate breakfast, then slept some more. I think mom and dad may have been doing the same thing. At 2:00 when we had to check out, we all headed out for lunch. We ate at the Denver Hard Rock Cafe, which we had a gift card for from Pharmion's marketing crew (thanks!) - and once again stuffed ourselves. Mom and dad went for a walk one way, and Adam and I went another. We caught the bus to ESPN Zone where we played some arcade games. It was a lot of fun. Then we went to Barnes & Noble and found some books to look through. Our driver was picking us up at the hotel at 6 pm, so we had to keep busy until then.
6:00 rolled around, and our driver was right on time - with a limo! Sweet! So we hopped in with all our luggage and headed to the airport. Yeah, it was time to say good-bye to Dad and Adam. It's always hard to say good-bye, but we just keep our minds on our goals, because soon enough, we'll be seeing them again when we finish in California.
The driver then brought us to Becki's house where we did our laundry, got fed, and Becki brought us shopping for a few misc. items we needed. Tomorrow we'll stop so mom can get a camera. It was really nice to visit with Becki and her husband, Bob. They are really great people.
We had such a great weekend, and mom and I are both very thankful for everybody that worked so hard to put it together. We probably wouldn't have ever let ourselves take that much time off, and we're VERY glad we were sort of "forced" to - we found that we did really need it. It sure makes a difference when you allow yourself to get so rejuvenated. Tomorrow we will hit the trail again. It may be a short day, but we're ready to get back in the swing of things. And we have a hiker-friend joining us early this week some time, so that's going to be a BLAST! Lots to look forward to, as always... :)
